I'm Klon Von Dyke, a nerdy, sleep deprived, character generating wannabe writer with delusions of awesome. I have a goofy sense of humor, a optimistic attitude and a big mouth.
Over on CS I am Banter. I do nothing over there. I don't have what it takes to build up a social circle in that big of a pond.
Right now my goal is to run any errands Chomp needs and build up our community. I am planning to start an unofficial newsletter. If you have any ideas for that please PM me. I encourage you all to make use of our art and story boards and get some roleplays going. Need a helping hand? Ask. I love helping people, especially with creative works.
On a personal note fiction is my cake and frosting. I enjoy cartoons, especially ones intended for boys half my age. Special mention goes to Transformers (Animated, Prime, Rescue Bots and G1) My Little Pony GI Joe Over the Garden Wall Avatar: The Last Airbender Ninjago Gravity Falls Ducktales Darkwing Duck Talespin All the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons.
Other then the occasional Pokemon episode, I'm not fond of anime.
Live action shows i enjoy are usually sitcoms from the 50s-70s. The Dick Van Dyke Show and the Andy Griffith Show are my favorite. Lately I've been watching a lot of Leave it to Beaver.
My parents bought me a Kindle and that doomed me to bankruptcy. If it's clean, I'll buy it and I'll read it. I usually finish my books in one setting and have trouble reading along with others because they are slow. I love fairy tale adaptations, slice of life stories, general fiction, the works of Brian Jaques, and historical novels. What I really want is a science fiction series that rivals the Rangers Apprentice, a not-so fantasy series I heartily endorse. (Heartily endorse is officially the phrase of the day. I also heartily endorse the Father Brown Mysteries by G. K Chesterson. And I hope I didn't misspell his name. )
I am shameless about my drive to write fanfiction, and the army of fan-characters I have assembled. The trouble is I am terrified of writing for canon characters. I will play them if anyone wants to start a fandom based RP.
Speaking of RPs, would you believe I was once an avid Warrior Cats Rper? But alas, my glory days are gone and Rper is now a weird word. I want to start roleplaying again but if we start you must be patient with me. I am a slow replyer. Which isn't even a weird word.
I love coming up with characters. It's gotten pretty easy for me. If you need any help I'd love to have a look at your OCs and offer advice. Don't worry. I am a pretty gentle critic whose goal is understanding, compassion, encouragement and improvement. My proudest memory concerning it is when I got a message from a young fanfiction writer who said I was her most helpful reviewer. Ugh... I miss those days.
Sorry, got a little nostilgic there! If you read through that, you get the Klondyke "You Tolerated My Big Mouth And Now I Love You" Badge. Yay! Hopefully I'll see you around!

Ooo, I saw some *coughmostcough* things I really like in there. Couldn't be because we are related or anything, uh? :]
Great to see you here, sis, can't wait to roleplay with you. <3

I LOVE A:TLA.
Oh same here. :D I also like the Kirby Anime and Studio Ghibli though heh. I love the pokemon anime too.
I HAVE NEVER MET ANOTHER DICK VAN DYKE FAN ONLINE EEEEE I LOVE THAT SHOW. I also love the actor himself too. :D
I only really write Kirby and Warrior cats fan fictions. I have so many Kirby and warrior cats fan characters hehehe.
OMSC once again I have to agree with you here. Unless the role-play is extremely fun I cannot keep active at it. XD Are you a member of the WCF? If you ever want to role-play here I would love to role-play. Especially warrior cats as I miss role playing warriors a lot.

TO GLOMP:
Sis is a weird word. Can you imagine a snake saying it? How could you tell it was saying "sis" and not just hissing? One of lifes many mysteries.
Web heart thing back!
TO CHOMP:
Thanks Chief! Good to be here!
See? Chomp thinks I'm mature. You can trust me.
Also, I have officially obtained Lackey status of a professional nature. Free virtual cake all around.
TO LADY RAINCLOUD:
A:TLA looks kinda of like chatspeak for Atilla. That's what I get for trying to read it phonetically. I love that show. Sokka is likely my favorite character.
Oh! Studio Ghibli. Yeah, I'd forgotten about that
Yes! Dick Van Dyke's great.
Kirby is one series I don't have any fan characters in. It would be fun to hear about yours.
WCF... Does that stand for something like Warrior Cats Forest? I'm afraid I've either never heard of it, or don't remember it. It would be kind of fun to RP Warriors again. It's been ages. I still remember my pet peeve, trying to convince the other RPer's that female leaders should be allowed to have kits. XD ----
Hey... I never mentioned I liked Spider-Man. Bad! Bad Klon. Bad! Also Anne of Green Gables. And now I'm not allowed to state any more random interests* for the rest of the year. How will I survive?

Sokka is awesome hehe. Iroh is my top favorite character though. :D
I like just about everything with Studio Ghibli... especially the scenery artwork and music. It stands above all other animes. :)
I have only ever watched the Kirby anime and played a few games yet I was so determined for a while to make my fan fictions accurate that I researched a ton of stuff and now mentally my fan fictions are... eh what is the term people use? My head canon? You know... unofficially offical. XD I only have three main Kirby characters yet I have more in development and many side characters. I also made up a few fictional planets or "Stars". (Because the kirbyverse has so many planets. WHY NOT MAKE MORE.)
It stands for Warrior cats forums. :) It is the official fan site and you should find it on the warriors website. It is very hard to create an active role-play though and only a few fan clans make it.
I had the same issue a few times. In the books it never states that female leaders may not have children. The majority of my female leaders almost always have children in RP.

Iroh is pretty awesome. I'm relying on second hand sources here, but apparently the foolish writers had intended to make him a villain who was subtly corrupting Zuko. I think that changed well before the end of the first season.
One thing I find interesting about Studio Ghibli is the story structure. American films typically have a solid three act structure. Everything always has to rush towards the main goal. Studio Ghibli is more like a chapter book. It usually has an overarching plot, but it takes more time. Breathes a bit more. That's not always what I'm looking for, but it's a nice change of pace.
You get it! If the main series has a lot, that means it WANTS more! I love coming up with worlds and planets. What sort of stuff do you do to develop your characters?
Sounds kind of giant... I don't do so well on huge forums.
Ugh! I know! And it would be so easy to handle! "Hey, Deputy, I've got four little things I need to take care of. You got this? Good." Did they use Bluestar as their main argument too?
With one exception, none of my cats ever became a parent. And the one exception was only pregnant when I had to drop out... Sigh.

Oh my goodness really? I cannot picture Iroh being a villain. D:
I love that about Ghibli films. :D I prefer slower paced stories to be honest. I have no liked any recent American film to be honest. D: They are getting extremely quick paced and what could have been an interesting story is rushed...
World building is my favorite thing about story building so naturally I add my own ideas a bit too often to fan fictions. :) I started a warriors spoof and now I have an explanation for several of the things I have never understood in warriors. The story is becoming less of a spoof unintentionally. X)
To develop my characters I often imagine them in different scenarios interacting with different characters and cultures. People are made up more by their surroundings than by themselves. Modern storytellers tend to focus too much on the main or central character and not so much the background characters. So to develop one I make up several more... that is more for my personal stories though with completely my own ideas. For fan fictions I pretty much do the same thing now, though many of my warriors characters and pretty much all my Kirby characters were originally made for role-play and developed during it as it went along. :) I do not really create characters for role-play anymore though. What about you? :)
Actually it is very small and people quit it daily. It probably has less active members than chickensmoothie and is much easier to navigate than chickensmoothie as it has less boards. Most of the boards are abandoned in fact. It is also a forum for survivors and seekers yet their part of the forum is sometimes rather like a ghost town for months. DX
The problem with Bluefur having kits was because she was not already a deputy when she had them. A deputy is supposed to help the leader. So the deputy cannot be distracted by kittens. The leader could if she has a trustworthy and strong deputy to help her. I think I may have seen her used an an excuse before. Like I just said though it does not make any sense. Plus Leafstar of SkyClan had kits as a leader.
I love role-playing parents with young kittens though I have not for a while either though. :( I have role-played several mothers and fathers and forbidden romances with medicine cats and cats outside the clan and such yet not for a very long time now. DX

Neither can I! Still, I kind of like the idea of an evil yet goofy seeming old man... I might try it myself sometime. Lately I've been noticing that some movies just feel more shallow then others. Same thing for the cartoons I watch. There are some that have a satisfying story in ten minutes, while hour and a half long movies feel too light and kind of like plastic. I wish I could figure it out. That's something I really want to avoid in my work.
Yeah, I love world building to death. 80% of my fanfiction are set in my own adaptions of the canon. Bad! Bad Klon! Really, being a home-schooled egotist, I've never had to deal with peer pressure so I don't really care that a vocal percentage hate AU's or OC's.
Ha! I love it when a spoof grows on you! Can you share the warriors fic?
When I'm developing a character, I usually ask questions. Like, You're just here as an example on a public fourm. How do you feel about that? "Come on! You don't even know me yet and you're pushing me on the world? Ego! You are an egotist!" You know I could make you suffer right? "Yeah, like you WON'T! Egotistical sadist!"
Ahem! Not all of it involves my characters calling me a terrible person. Once, one offered to kiss my feet. Usually I have nothing to go on but a name or a general concept. I'm finished when the characters have their own voice. Unfortunately I tend to "project jump" so not all my characters are as developed as I liked them to be.
Yeah... I sometimes feel pretty crazy.
Could you pm me a link? I can't seem to find it through Google.
Yeah! If I were leader, I'd probably wouldn't choose a new mother for my deputy.
When did Leafstar had kits? I haven't read any of the books in a while... I prefer the early ones where the different clans are always at each others throats. XD
Would you like to start an RP over PMs? I can't promise to be active, but it'd be fun to try again.

A lot of my (male) villain characters have a goofy side (while I cannot keep things silly I cannot keep them too serious either) yet I do not think I've ever had a very old villain before... or at least not one who behaves like an older person. I have thought a lot about it to avoid it myself. So far I have come up with the idea that you can tell the same story, yet depending on how you present it, it is better or worse. I have read some very simple books before (Say "The Little Prince) and some long tales (Say Harry Potter) yet I find a better meaning and tale in The Little Prince than in Harry Potter because the Little Prince is actually very deep philosophy, whereas Harry Potter is merely an entertaining yet shallow tale. This is just my opinion yet there really is not much message in the story other than telling the story. (BTW I actually like Harry Potter it just does not compare to other stories.) I am sorry if it did not make much sense. It is very hard to describe my thoughts on the matter. X) Yes I can. :) What I have so far is already online on said warriors website here. It is pretty silly though I warn you. I am pretty surprised people actually like it. My characters just appear. My current CHILD favorite character, Zachary, was developed from a nightmare I had actually. X) Though I do mentally ask my characters questions to help develop them too sometimes. If you type in "warrior cats" look at the first link. There should be something under it that says "Erin Hunter Community". That is it. Though I just linked my fan fiction above which is on that site. :) I do not really read warriors much at all anymore. I think it was during the SkyClan comic series. PMs on this site right? My PMs on CS are blocked atm yet I could open it to friends only and add you to my friends there so you could message me there. :) There is also the 1x1 board on CS which would be easier.

Thanks for sharing the fan-fiction. I actually read it the same day you posted but... well, that's my delay instincts kicking in. I found it hilarious. I come up with that sort of thing all the time. XD Like the time I decided that a major villian went crazy and decided his henchman was a parrot. Then demanded said henchmen show the good guys what a good parrot he was.
....
Not quite sure that's something you'd want your work compared to.
I would prefer to roleplay through PMs on this site, but if you don't want to we can work out something.
