About the Guardian
Royal Guardians Name: Miyuki (me-you-key), good friends call her Miyu (my-you) Guardians Age: 23 Five Things they Like: Miyuki has a few things that she finds fun and enjoyable. Her most favorite thing to do is to take long runs at night, either in the forest or through the city. She loves running as fast as she can and weaving in and out of trees or buildings, seeing the swath of stars in the sky and feeling the cool night air run through her fur. Miyuki also loves to collect antique trinkets, swim (at night of course), read whenever and as much as she can and spar. One of her secret pleasures is writing. She writes as much as she can. Five Things they Dislike: Miyu isn't too fond of any sappy things, like romance and all (or at least she says). She doesn't really care for the daytime as much, Miyu is much more of a night-owl. She doesn't like sweet things like candies, as well as very bland foods like unseasoned rice/veggies. Something that Miyu absolutely can't stand is mosquitoes. She hates them, their buzzing, blood-sucking and all.
Brief History: Miyu was born on the outskirts of a small town, about 55 miles from Prism City. The town she lived in, Wintscape, was a town that focused on producing tea. Miyu was brought up in a very nice home, with two wonderful, loving parents and her brother, Copal. For 10 years she lived a normal life, doing chores, attending the local school, learning how to make tea and so on. But when Miyu was only 10 and a half, a terrible epidemic called panleukopenia, swept through her village and left many orphans or childless. Miyu lost her entire family, and was one of the 50 survivors, out of a town of 250. At the age of 11 she packed up her little belongings and headed for Prism City, wanting to be trained in martial arts. It took her some time, but eventually she found someone willing to teach a 11 year old, and was taught. Miyu picked up everything fast and practiced for hours on end. Around the age of 20 she was asked to take on the role of a guardian, and Miyu accepted.
Brief Personality: It may look as though Miyu is cold and uncaring, but that's just a wall she puts up to protect herself from being hurt again. Once you get though that thick layer of sarcastic, cold, confrontational and mildly aggressive facade, Miyu is actually an extremely sweet and caring feline. If she lets you in, Miyu will be fiercely loyal, kind, caring and most of all hilarious. On good days, she's only a little bit sarcastic and cold to everyone, but when it comes to little ones or elders she will always drop the wall and be herself. It might seem a little ridiculous, but that's the way Miyu found was easiest to live. When something awful happens, her body automatically shoves the awful feelings and thoughts down deep so she can function like any other day. They don't resurface ever, and in a bad situation she always keeps a level head. Miyu is extremely intelligent because of her love of books. She will read anything, and because of that has learned more than the average guardian.
And the Dragon?
Dragons Name: Faolán is his royal name and Fál is his nickname (pronounced like Val, but with a F) Brief Personality: Fál is the exact opposite of Miyu. He is always energetic, laughing and joking about. He loves to mess with everyone, like pulling small pranks, or on occasion big ones on Miyu (she doesn't quite like them though). Fál is very kind and generous, always lending a hand to those in need, even if someone is short a few coins when buying something. He loves to help and is the definition of a kindred spirit. Where Did they Find the Dragon: Miyu and Fál met on her journey to Prism City at the age of 12. Fál followed her after she unknowingly stepped on his tail, lost in thought. Fál thought she looked so determined and strong, and wanted to get to know this little feline, so he did. When she was about 25 miles away from the city, he introduced himself, badly startling Miyu by appearing a whiser's length away from her nose. They quickly became close friends, and Fál would help her train and give her pointers when she first started learning martial arts, and even now. Eventually, when Miyu grew old enough, Fál went to the place where they assign guardians and asked if he could have Miyu as his guardian. The said yes, and contacted her that evening. Miyu was thrilled to bits and the two have been the best of friends ever since that one fateful journey.
Anything Else?
Extra: "I think I'll tell ya why I started up martial arts training, seeing that we still have some time left before Fál's beauty appointment." "It's not a beauty appointment! I'm just getting a massage..." "Exactly, a beauty appointment." "Don't you have a story to tell or something?!" "Oh yeah." *chuckles* "Growing up in a town that specialized in making tea? That's not something I found very interesting." "There was this little old granny who lived near the town center who was rumored to be one of the best martial artists of the century. You're probably thinking, How can an old cat be so amazing at martial arts? Well, let me tell you, she was amazing." "One day after school, I fancied a visit with the old cat, so I knocked on her door. She was so sweet and fragile, not someone you would imagine being a sweet martial artist, inviting me in with a warm smile. She make a pot of tea for us both, it was the best tea I ever had, and that's saying something! I don't know what she did to it! We got talking and she told me about her feats in the martial arts among many other things." "Ah I remember this! Then she told you about how she K.O.ed that huge snow leopard with one move!" "Hush Fál! I'm telling this story not you!" "Sure, sure. Just hurry up cause I'm gonna be late!" "So as I was saying, the old cat told me about her life and I was so engaged. We talked until sunset, when she suggested I be on my way, or my folks might worry. I said goodbye and for the next year I would visit her for a little while after school and talk. She inspired me so much, and when I realized that that was what I wanted to do, I packed up and headed for Prism." "And there you have it! How Miyu was inspired to become the ass-kicking martial artist she is today!" *grin* "Are you ready for your appointment yet?" "Yeah, lets go! My shoulders are super tight!"[/ul][/ul]

Extra #2: Here you will learn how Miyu came to have her famous wall of cold, and how helping someone isn't being kind, it is a necessity.
"Why the wall you ask? Well, that isn't something I usually share, in fact only Fál knows why. He was there. I don't really feel like rehashing everything right now, so why don't you go and find Fál? I'm sure he'll tell you."
"Hmm? Miyu sent you? Alright I'll tell you about her, but please mind your thoughts and manners." "When I first met Miyu, we were on our way to Prism City, We decided to take a detour because we heard of a fantastic restaurant that served the best noodles and sushi. The restaurant was called Yamas and it was absolutely delightful, I treated us both to generous amounts of pad thai and rice pudding. We were stuffed halfway through, but ordered desert anyways. The bill was very large, ¥29,000 to be exact. We took our huge amount of leftovers, and headed out. Stuffed to the brim with amazing food and laughing, we made our way back to the inn. I believe that was the first time I ever saw Miyu laugh and let go like she did then, but the good mood and comfortable feeling of food sitting in our bellies was to be short-lived."
"On our way back to the inn we were staying at, we passed an abandoned street with bundles of dirty blankets strewn everywhere. Something seemed off and Miyu's mood instantly darkened. Her whiskers twitch and her eyes grew into wide pools of pain. She padded over to a large bundle of blankets, lifting up her paw, which I noticed was shaking, and moved the blankets aside. Miyu's breathing hitched and I saw a pale gray mass of fur wrapped in the remaining blankets. My heart broke at that moment, seeing her go through what had happened at her old village. The strong acrid scent of sickness along with the sickly smell of decay wafted up my nose. Just as I was about to move to tell Miyu we should be heading towards the in, a young kit raced around the corner."
"With a wild look, the kit yowled, "What are you doing?! Put the blankets back on him or he'll get cold!" The kit raced up to us, trowing the thin, ragged blankets back on top of the tom. Miyu stared at the kit with wide sorrowful eyes. "What happened here?" Miyu asked, even though I was certain she already knew. "Well, one day everyone on my street started to get very ill, and then no one came outside to play anymore. I don't live in a home, but my father and I slept right here. He got very sick and after a week or so, he stopped talking and got all cold." The kit told us with a shiver. Before the kit was even done, Miyu fathered her close and soothingly stroked her back with her tail. Shoving her own renewed grief away. We lead the kit back to the inn and we learned her name, Lia."
"Miyu persuaded Lia to stay with us, and she did gratefully. One evening, Miyu took me aside and explained she was going to take a few years out of her trip and stay with the little kit. I of course, stayed as well. We traveled across the land, becoming the tightest of groups. A year after meeting Lia, she started calling Miyu her sister. Just watching those two play and laugh warmed my heart. But like all good things, this wasn't meant to last. Reaching the three year mark, Lia and Miyu went on a hunting trip. I stayed at the inn because it was winter and I don't fancy the cold. It was starting to get late, the sun setting and the stars coming out. I grew worried and contemplated going out to find them, but a blizzard had started. I paced back and forth all night, worrying about them both. Finally, the next afternoon, Miyu staggered in, all bloody and dirty. I asked what happened and she told me."
"We were out at the top of the mountain, enjoying the view when the blizzard hit. We've been caught in many before so it didn't worry me too much. We headed down the mountain, laughing and joking about little things. I saw a rabbit in the distance, caught it and brought it back. It was a beautiful white color, and Lia and I savored every bite. We were about halfway down the mountain when I smelled wolves. I kept my cool, picking up the pace. We were almost at the bottom when they came. There were about 11 wolves, a huge pack, and they had us completely surrounded. I was so young, not able to do anything. I tried as best I could, but they pinned me down, forcing me to watch as Lia was slain. I yowled and fought as hard as I could, but there were just too many. I can never forget the last look her and I shared. It was one of love and peace despite the situation. Somehow I managed to squirm free, grabbing Lia's scarf on the way, and sprinting for my life. I sobbed my entire way down, but soon an icy coldness spread through my body. I didn't feel anything. I tried and tried but every time I attempted to think about what had happened, it was like something was pinning that thought away from me. I couldn't."
"From then on that wall of cold was always there, making her seem harsh and unapproachable. She was never that way to me though. She was just hurt too many times, and that was her body's way of preventing any more hurt. She is very sweet and kind though, you just have to poke a tiny hole in the cold first."
"Sorry to make this so long, I'm sure you're very bored by now. I should go and make sure Miyu's alright after telling you what happened to Lia. Thanks for listening and I wish you well."

About the Guardian
Royal Guardians Name: Natalie Guardians Age: 17 Five Things they Like: Natalie loves traveling, the night, being alone (with her dragon, of course), water, and manipulating others. Five Things they Dislike: Natalie dislikes emotional creatures, authority figures, being underestimated, well-sealed letters (we'll get to this in the personality), and wolves. Especially wolves.
Brief History: Natalie was born into a line of messengers. She lost her parents to wolves when she was twelve, but successfully carved out an independent life and now serves the same small RGC clans in the forested areas of Titan that her ancestors did. Because her parents passed when she was still rather young, and their dragons passed with them, Natalie did not receive an egg from them. Rather, Natalie met her dragon around 3 to 4 years later - the life of solitude for that time is one of the contributing factors to her personality.
Brief Personality: Natalie is quiet, aloof, and manipulative. Though she is tactful during business dealings, she is otherwise often spiteful to others. Naturally, this tends to cause problems, but luckily she avoids contact with others whenever possible anyway. She is a big believer that respect must be earned, not that it is implied because of a position of authority – whether that authority comes from leadership, age, or a higher social standing. She manipulates others for her pleasure and is also very nosy, often reading the messages that she is due to deliver, hence the dislike of well-sealed letters. If anyone knew she'd been into them, she'd certainly have a bit of job insecurity, and how's she to manipulate others effectively when she can't figure out their secrets and weaknesses by getting into their messages?
And the Dragon?
Dragons Name: His royal name is Chann, and his common name is Chase. Brief Personality: Chase is even quieter than Natalie, speaking only when need be. Very calm and open minded, he does not share Natalie's hate towards others, but does not speak out against it. He isn't particularly intelligent and is rather timid, but is curious and a surprisingly deep thinker. He serves as Natalie's strong point when she breaks down, listening quietly and guiding her to a resolution of her feelings. Also unlike Natalie, he is very respectful of one's privacy and can be trusted with anything – which is probably a good thing, because we'd not like to see what happens to the soul who tells someone that Natalie isn't always as composed as she seems. Where Did they Find the Dragon? An aged RGC, who had never mated or had children, had three nephews. The youngest of these had recently entered adulthood, but would not be recieving an egg from either of his parent's dragons, as their single eggs had already been bestowed to his two elder brothers. So, the senior RGC and her dragon had decided that they would offer an egg to the nephew, and charged Natalie to delivering the egg. Knowing that Natalie would be coming, the nephew had wandered out into the woods, about a day's journey from his clan, in excitement. However, in his eagerness, he had dropped his guard to the dangers of Titan and when Natalie was nearing the end of the journey, she heard terrible screeching from ahead, almost drowning out the growling that accompanied it. She raced ahead to the scene where, to her horror, she saw a pair of wolves attacking the nephew. Managing to startle the wolves enough to scare them off, she went to him, but it was too late. Realizing this, she could only hope to comfort him as he drifted off. Gently asking his name, her eyes widened as she realized this was the boy to whom she was supposed to deliver the egg. But before she could say anything further, the nephew sighed and went limp. Unsure of what to do, she turned back with the egg and a grave reminder of the dangers around her, which hardened her for years to come. And when the egg hatched soon after, she cared for the dragon as her own.
Anything Else? Yep! c: Some artz.

About the Guardian
Royal Guardians Name: Alaska. Guardians Age: 24 years of age. Five Things they Like: Alaska likes being allowed to keep to herself, lurking in the depths of the shadows. Her favorite evenings are ones spent in quiet solitude with her dragon. Other likes of hers are boasting of her adventures, being called "night butterfly", and eating large amounts of food in a short length of time. Five Things they Dislike: Alaska abhors unwanted "gifts" of affection, which includes flirting. Children are absolute puzzles to her, and she holds them in utmost contempt. Other pet peeves include being told what to do, having "her" credit cards rejected, and suddenly being without a ride.
Brief History: Alaska has simply not had the easiest life. She didn't come from a very rich family, and became estranged from her family. Since then, she's been searching for a job, and found one as a street performer. Brief Personality: A quiet individual of few words, Alaska prefers to keep to herself when not performing. Her thoughts often take strange patterns not visited by others, which lets her have her own unique view on the world. Afraid of being judged, she doesn't often share her thoughts or feelings, usually feeling anxious and retreating to Lynn's embrace for reassurance after sharing. She chose to be a loner, instead of living in the large colony she was born in.
And the Dragon?
Dragons Name: Nickname: Lynn. Brief Personality: Lynn is protective of Alaska in her own way. Of the duo, she's more outgoing and active, often chattering away to Alaska in her chirps, purrs, and clicks. A bit of a lazy individual, Lynn prefers riding on Alaska's back, rather than ambulating on her own. She's very perceptive, and can read other's body languages easily, and will quietly tip Alaska off about these things. She has her own individual charm that is somewhat inexplicable. Where Did they Find the Dragon? In this case, it was actually Lynn who found Alaska (hence how she feels protective). Alaska had just recently left her home colony, and was simply wandering near a large lake, enjoying her newfound freedom and solitude. Lynn had hatched, finding herself in a place that she probably wasn't supposed to be in, and stumbled upon Alaska one night. At first, Alaska was apprehensive, but eventually warmed up to the idea of having Lynn around.

About the Guardian
Royal Guardians Name: Andromeda Guardians Age: She is aged 17 short years Five Things they Like: Andromeda likes to study stars and constellations, as her name suggests. She also collects bones, particularly birds' bones and skulls, and carves stories of her own creation on them. She likes night, with cloudless skies, bright stars, full moons. She adores magic and stories, and searches for old relics that tell their own tales. Five Things they Dislike: Andromeda dislikes crowded places, all the heat and rushing clouds her ears and panics her. She doesn't like when sacred places and shrines are disturbed and altered. She can't stand the sight of pollution in her sky, and so stays in rural areas. She dislikes when the dead are treated with disrespect. She doesn’t tolerate when old artifacts are destroyed for other’s gain.
Brief History: Andromeda was born in a small town close to the sea, where her parents made a living by searching for pearls and rare shells. Her life was not one of luxury, and for a wandering spirit she felt tied down by responsibility and expectations. When she reached four years of age, Andromeda left her family with their blessing, and travelled far and wide, finding her passion for artifacts and the stars in her travels. When Ori found her, she knew her path had been destined for her, and no longer feeling like she had made a mistake, she committed fully to her wandering. She rarely visits cities, and when she does it is only to visit the great libraries to deliver her newest artifacts to the safekeeping of the majestic buildings, she spends a little time resting between the great shelves before heading out again in the night, usually with a gift from one of the library guards and scribes. Brief Personality: Andromeda is a quiet cat, and keeps to herself. She doesn't often make promises but when she does, she will do everything in her power to keep them. She is incredibly loyal, but only to those who have managed to gain what little trust she gives. If someone breaks her trust, she will never give them a second chance, so if you gain her friendship, you had better treasure it. Andromeda is a wanderer and travels with the stars. She is an insomniac and the stars have often served to relieve her of her exhaustion, as she often only runs on 2-3 hours of sleep per day. Her love of old relics and knowledge shows when one speaks to her, and she speaks in an older styling than most, simply because of all the ancient scrolls she had gone and puzzled through. She is intelligent, shy, calm, and never takes anything at face value, instead preferring to look into the deeper meaning.
And the Dragon?
Dragons Name: His royal name is Orionis, but Andromeda calls him Ori Brief Personality: Ori and Andromeda are two peas in a pod, both are quiet and calm, and enjoy each others soft company. Out of the two, Ori is the more soft-spoken, and rarely makes any sort of noise, even when in distress. He much prefers a mental link with Andromeda and his silent nature has gotten him into trouble once or twice. He is a perfect companion to watch stars and find old writings with, and knows his own fair share of ancient texts. He has a softer side though, and is very sweet to those who Andromeda calls friend. Where Did they Find the Dragon? Andromeda found Orionis while star-watching from a rocky cliff next to the sea. While watching the mirrored stars, he crawled over and wound his sinewy length around her paws, scaring her out of her wits. Andromeda had unknowingly sat in his favorite star-gazing spot, and due to such good taste in the heavens, Orionis was compelled to travel with her on her journeys. From that day forward they have travelled together; watching stars, finding runes and shrines, travelling across the midnight landscape with only eachother and the moon as company.

About the Guardian
Royal Guardians Name: Elise Guardians Age: Young Adult (personality of a 20-ish year old human--young enough to still want to explore the world, but old enough to have a little life experience) Five Things they Like: Heights—the taller the better. Crowds—easier to blend, despite her vivid coloring. Puzzles—she likes to keep her mind active. Free-Running—A good physical activity. Limits—things to push toward and exceed.
Five Things they Dislike: Being Center of Attention—She prefers seeing without being seen. Dead Ends—in any form. She likes having options and places to go, for both mind and body. Injustice—basic right and wrong. Actual laws carry little meaning. Missed Chances—regretting what could have been. Arrogance—though this is a tiny bit hypocritical, since she can be a bit arrogant herself, from time to time.
Brief History: Elise has been on her own since early childhood. She remembers images of her parents, pleasant memories, but nothing specific. She doesn’t remember how she ended up on the streets, but she has been alone for as long as she can remember. Somehow, she has maintained a (slightly skewed) sense of justice, governed by her own sense of right and wrong and thus created her own sense of law. Travelling from one village to another, Elise is always on the move, not caring to stay for any extended time in one place for two reasons-- one: she bores easily once she’s seen all she can, and two: the authorities are usually after her before too long. She has learned, out of necessity, to be a good thief, stealing only when and what she needs and only from those who can spare it, and yet, those faint images of her parents gave her the kindness to give freely to those in more need than herself. Defending those unable to defend themselves, Elise will fight fiercely, then disappear into the crowd, anonymous. She has learned to love the shadows that can disguise even her bright coat. She grew up, raising herself, finding (sometimes taking) things, (like her hood and scarves), making friends, as well as enemies. Brief Personality: Out of necessity, Elise finds it hard to trust others. To her, trust is even more important than love. One can love another without trusting. Fairly reserved, Elise hides beneath her hood, physically and emotionally. Not wanting to be hurt or hurt others, she chooses not to get close to many. In her perspective, laws are mere guidelines. Sometimes she follows their codes, if they don’t get in her way. Other times, they are simply disregarded in favor of her own code. Sometimes, in this grey area of good versus bad, her moral and/or ethical compass doesn’t always point true north, and she can get herself into trouble. Though for the most part, she is mostly capable of getting herself out of it. Mostly. Whether by fierce fighting, smooth talking, or swift fleeing, Elise will find a way out. She is not without a sense of humor, enjoying having a laugh at the havoc she leaves in her wake. Somewhere in her being, though, where it can rarely surface and surface only when it’s safe, is a sweet, kind, romantic, sentimental part of her that only a privileged few have seen. It is a rare thing indeed, and precious, to be loved—and trusted—by this part of Elise, because when that happens, nothing can break it.
And the Dragon?
Dragons Name: (dragons usually have a nickname, given to them by their guardian, and then a true royal name that bonds them to their companion, and only their guardian knows) Royal Name : Doriarno. Nickname: There are two: Elise calls this dragon Arno, or more commonly, Creed, since the dragon is her conscience...her code to live by. (though the dragons are technically genderless, Doriarno tends to act more male in behavior, so Elise refers to the dragon as such). Brief Personality: Fairly Laid-back, Creed tends to be a silent observer of the mayhem that ensues whenever Elise entertains herself. He even joins in on the chaos, from time to time, though usually in the capacity of a lookout or distraction. When things get rough, though, Creed is there to act as a moral compass, steering his friend in the right direction, even when she doesn't want to go that way. Always prepared with a sarcastic chirp or condescending warble, Creed is her ever present companion and critic. Where Did they Find the Dragon? These two have not been together long...Merely a year ago Elise was rifling through a chest, (and no, it did not belong to her, though with her lock-picking skills almost nothing is out of reach). Tucking some money, a small sack of spices, and some thread into a pouch in her hood, Elise thought there was no more to be found inside. the panic outside was dwindling down and the guard at the back door was slowly regaining consciousness, and she was about to shut the lid, when for some inexplicable reason she waited. Her ears perked forward and her whiskers tingled...she swung the lid back up and rooted around some more. There...buried in a small satchel in the corner of the chest...there was something in it. She took a moment to examine the satchel; it was old, the leather cracking and so worn thin it was barely holding together. Inside was a small ball that looked of little value, but no...With a shimmer of light and a crack the ball--no, egg--split down one side, and a tiny dragonette emerged. She had found her companion. Stolen, she corrected herself. She didn't feel worthy, but that lasted only a split second as the tiny beast curled around her foreleg and slithered up to her shoulder. The groggy guard shouted, and the dragon hissed back, and she knew that, stolen or not, this little creature was to be hers forever.
Anything Else?
In this section, you're free to add two more categories of your choice; they can be art, something specific you'd like to mention about the guardian or dragon that doesn't fit into one of the above categorize, and so on.
A brief snippet of Elise and her Creed's adventures together:
Elise purred softly to herself and sat, curling her tail around her paws. This was going to be interesting. She surveyed the building before her carefully, noting every crevice and ledge. There was no way inside from where she was now or either of the other two sides she'd examined, leaving only the south side of the building, which offered little cover and plenty of paid guards. A massive gate overlooked both the long road to the mansion as well as the immaculately groomed courtyard. Throughout that courtyard were statues, fountains, benches, and other miscellaneous decor...the rich ones always did seem to have a flair for the extravagant.
A soft hiss from her shoulder warned her to duck back into the shadows as a guard turned the corner; though he had been right on his usual, predictable schedule, Elise had been so absorbed in her thoughts and schemes that she had lost track of time. She twitched her ear toward her little scaled friend. "Thank you, Arno. Looking out for me as always."
The dragon snorted lightly and wound his tail tighter around the cat's foreleg, settling himself against her neck, just inside her hood.
When the guard passed, Elise took her chance and darted toward the gate and wall surrounding the building complex. Arno slithered from her shoulder and along the wall, to a hiding spot just outside the light thrown by a hanging lantern. Elise carefully started up the wall, making a point of staying away from the gate. Just when she needed him to, knowing this moment through the special connection they share, Arno slithered up to the lantern, detached it from its hook and knocked it down from the wall, directly onto the back of an unsuspecting brute of a guard below, before darting off into the shadows. The guard yowled in surprise and pain, jumping and whirling, searching the darkness for his assailant.
Elise used this opportunity to slip over the wall and into the courtyard, met there by her companion, who only snorted in such a way as to imitate a smug sort or laugh, satisfied with his work. She scolded him playfully as he watched the panic from her shoulder. "Come now, you always chide me for taking pleasure at things like that. Now that you are doing the same, isn't it just a case of the pot calling the kettle black?" He glared back at her and clicked back in a somewhat annoyed tone, then turned back to continue watching.
Within moments they were inside. Arno slipped off of his friend and into the crowd of party guests inside, unnoticed, and was gone before she could blink. No doubt he was trying to locate the room they were seeking. Elise tossed her hood back and laughed happily at the music, mingling her way toward the stairs. She discovered a long time ago that the best way to hide in a place where she didn't belong, was to simply act as though she did belong. A confident air and secure smile did wonders for blending in. No need to stick to the shadows here.
Up the stairs and down the hall, third door on the left, was the location of the chest. That is...if the serving cat hadn't lied. But, then again, the masters of the house treated their help poorly, why would the old cat have any reason to lie? Sure enough, as she made her way up the stairs, the voices of two more guards could be heard coming from the direction of the room she was headed for. Another soft hiss from her other side told her Arno's hiding place, and she joined him beneath the draped linen of a small table. Again, they would need to work together to temporarily take out the guards and claim the goods. Slithering unnoticed from beneath the table, Arno clung to the wall above the guards, in plain sight if they'd just look up, which anyone very seldom does. Now past them on their other side, he slipped beneath another table, pulling a vase down as he went, sending it crashing to the floor and shattering into tiny pieces. Both guards turned to look, and Elise bounded toward them, leaping up with a paw on each one's head. As she landed, their heads met the floor with a painful thunk, and didn't even moan before slipping into unconsciousness. Looting their pockets, Elise found the key and unlocked the door they had been guarding.
There, at the back of the room, was a mahogany chest with gold hardware and leather bound handles. Removing a pick from her hood, she inserted it into the lock, along with one single claw, and manipulated the pins. With a satisfying click, the lock released, and she lifted the lid of the chest. Inside was more than she thought. Pouches of gold coins, beautiful gold and silver jewelry encrusted with precious gems, silky soft and delicate fabrics...so much! But she didn't need all of this. It wasn't practical. Picking out a few money pouches and slipping on some choice jewels, she closed the lid and opened a window, she waited only long enough for Arno to slip into her hood before disappearing into the shadows outside. From the window to a tree and the tree to the outside wall, she was gone before the guards even began to wake.
She was perched on the wall when a whimper from below caught her attention...well, caught Arno's attention. He chirped in Elise's ear and pointed toward the service entrance to the mansion. There, in a crumpled heap of a threadbare blanket, was a kitten...a child of the serving staff. The poor thing was cold and shivering, and looked as though she had been beaten. Dropping into the shadows, Elise made her way toward the kitten.
"Hey, don't be afraid...I'm here to help. Who did this to you?" She kept her voice low and stayed out of the light, using her hood for cover.
The tiny kitten whimpered and told her it was none other than the master of the house himself. A big cat who was kind only to his own friends and social class.
Elise nodded and leaped up to the wall, her paws finding purchase on small ledges that very few others would be able to climb. Once back inside, it wasn't hard to locate the master of the house. He was laughing in a group of elite social climbers, all of them practically begging him to look their way or pay them some attention. Again tossing her hood back, she made her way to him without fuss, even getting right into his little group. When he finally made eye contact with her and realized he did not know her, he started to call out, feeling somewhere inside himself the dread of something very bad about to happen. Arno rested under Elise's hood, tucked against her back, and hissed softly as his friend unsheathed the claws of her left paw. With a dazzling smile, she said only one thing: "Sir, there seems to be a discrepancy with how things are done here. You treat others so poorly and expect to be treated well yourself. I am here to fix that." With a swipe of her claws, the cat shrieked, and Elise surged through the now confused crowd, disappearing beneath her hood, and returned to the serving entrance again. Tossing a money pouch at the kitten's paws as she ran, she smiled, "Go find a better master. I hear there's a lovely lady cat in need of someone to watch her newborns in town."
Bounding up and over the wall, Elise and Arno were gone, happy with the satisfaction of a job well done.
-.-.-.-.-.-
*This was written very quickly and I know I can do better with it...if I get this lovely RGC I shall write more of their adventures together! *
Just a note, if you've played the game, you probably got the references...this RGC and dragon reminded me so much of several games: the Prince of Persia games, and most notably, Assassin's Creed: Unity, which is where Elise got her name and personality and where her companion got his as well.
I may add more later, but then again, maybe not. I hope, if not, that this will be enough to earn this lovely RGC pair. :)

About the Guardian
Royal Guardians Name: Sumati Guardians Age: 20 Five Things they Like: Sumati loves libraries filled with old tomes, herbs and poultices, children, the smell of petrichor and ozone, and warm fires Five Things they Dislike: Sumati dislikes loud people and crowded places, nonconstructive criticism, sand storms, and eating anything to bitter.
Brief History: Sumati is an Indian name that means "wise, good mind", derived from Sanskrit सु (su) "good" and मति (mati) "mind, thought". True to her her name she loves anything to challenge her mind! Since she was young her father never could keep her nose out of a book. Her favorite subjects were always herbology and Botany which led to her hobby of growing rare herbs and spices, which was harder than one might think in Kyros. In the time she spent without a book in her paw or out helping her father with his shop, she found comfort and joy in telling stories to the children in her small town. It gave her a sense of being close to the mother she had lost not to long ago. When she came of age at 18 she decided to go out into the world of Emblem and make her new home on the Islands of Calypso. There she felt that she could make the best use of her skills and hopefully further her studies on the islands! While she misses her father and the towns children she loves her new Island home! But of course with much cajoling from K(censored)ij she takes time to go home and visit every couple of months during Spring as it is the time that Kyros really comes alive with flora, fauna, and trade. Brief Personality: Sumati is and introvert by nature and is often missunderstood as cold or withdrawn when really she is just shy. When first meeting her you may find that she "glares" this is merely her observing you. She is also incredibly in tune with social cues and has a very hard time not noticing others situations without ever being told a word of it. This natural intuition makes her an excellent merchant as well as all the practice she got manning her fathers shop in Kyros. The only time Sumati ever really lets go and relaxes is when she is alone with K(censored)ij, with close friends, or around children. When Sumati becomes relaxed around you, you will notice that she has a very maternal way of treating those around her and a quiet but very sarcastic sense of humor. You have to be paying very close attention to even catch most of her jokes as she normally keeps them between herself and K(censored)ij. Some of her favorite times on the Island are during Lightning storms, the energy in the air during this time is one of the few things that will cause Sumati to act rashly by doing things like dancing and running in the rain. Other times are when it is one of the quite nights where she can enjoy some dried fruits and nuts with a book next to a warm bonfire while the stars shine bright in the sky. She also never tires of exploring the beaches, ruins, or small forests the islands have to offer !
Dragons Name: K(censored)ij is an Indian name that means "born of the earth" or "horizon" in Sanskrit. Brief Personality: K(censored)ij is a very smart and energetic Dragon with a taste for adventure! However this does not mean that he is loud or impulsive. You can be sure that if Sumati and K(censored)ij are out and about it was most likely his idea and that he had to fight her tooth and claw to get her away from her home on the Islands of Calypso. He is reliable and kind and quick to befriend those around him. He hates the cold which was a large factor in why Sumati moved to the Islands and not the Forests of Ganymede. Where Did they Find the Dragon? K(censored)ij's egg was actually passed down through Sumati's mothers side of the family as it was gifted to her great great grandmother by an elderly Dragon that was reaching the end of its lifespan. It was the one of the only possessions Sumati had left of her mothers after she passed away suddenly on a trade route through Emblem. K(censored)ij hatched when Sumati was 14, only a few months after her mothers passing.
Anything Else?
I'm not sure if this entry is to late to be considered but I had fun imagining the character so I figured I would put this in anyway! If you want clarification or part of the story doesn't fit with the world as well as you would like I am more than happy to alter bits here and there.
